Our Canine First Aid Seminars are designed to be relaxed, fun and informative. They are held several times throughout the year and are a fantastic and comprehensive way to equip yourself with the essential knowledge and skills to apply canine first aid in the event of a medical emergency.
The course aims to teach every participant to be able to recognise when a dog is in pain, how to recognise and respond to different first aid situations, carry out a safe assessment of the dog, carry out basic first aid treatments until you can reach a veterinary practitioner, the basic principles of canine first aid, safe handling and delve into basic life-saving techniques such as CPR, choking, heatstroke and poisoning.
You will practice the skills you have learnt on dummies and soft toys so you are confident in your own abilities and also so we can perfect your application so that it is effective and safe in the event of an emergency and talk through the best items to purchase and keep in your own Canine First Aid Kit. From wound care and bandaging to CPR and choking, our seminars ensure you will walk away from the day with invaluable knowledge in basic Canine First Aid.
